29 December 2006
29 December 2006
soft lights..
candels..
he enters the room walking softly..
she was there facing the mirror..
looking to that image of her..
checking how much the time messed up with her face..
its been years..
long years..
cold..
dark..
lonely..
but she survived..
he came near to her right shoulder..
he bent gently towards her ears..
he whispered..
"I am back"she kept looking to that woman in the mirror..
"oh sweety,.."
a tear droped from her left eye..
"my grandma left me that veil for my wedding night"she picked her hands up to fix it on her hair..
"she made it with her own hands"
he looked to the embroidery details on the veil..
"its beautiful isnt it" she said in a weak voice..
"come babe, its ok now, am here"
he put his hands on her shoulders and turned her slowly to finally face him..
her eyes were full of tears..
they were like sparkling in these soft lights..
she looked to him in the eyes..
"do you know honstly!"
"yes my heart used to beat for you"
"yes I dreamed of being yours, and you being mine"
she moved away slowly from between his arms..
she moved towards the big iron window..
she hold with her right hand the rusty bars of the window..
"and time passed.."she moved her head slowly towards him..
"and you coming now.."
a tear droped..
"and am compelled to tell you NO!"
his eyes opened wide..
she looked away through the window..
"I waited for you all my life, and you were away"
her fist was squzzing the rusty bars..
"it was my right to meet someone new.."
"it was my right.."
"the story is over"
silence..
she looked down her feet..
"and there is nothing left except silence"
he moved his head in annoyed way..
"but i came.."
she ran towards him and put her hands gently on his mouth..
"you came late, and days do not wait.."
"you came to say it, and how much i prayed to hear it from you, but now please dont say it.."
"who would start after the end, after the days has passed and eaten everything in its way.."
the lights are slowly fading down..
"I am sorry"..
an echo in the dark.
